Clarisse Yvette P. Virgino
Clarisse has been a passionate advocate for tobacco harm reduction (THR) since 2018. As the Philippine representative for the Coalition of Asia Pacific Tobacco Harm Reduction Advocates (CAPHRA), she actively supports fellow advocates in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) across the Asia Pacific region. Having been a smoker from a young age, Clarisse successfully quit with the help of vaping, which inspired her to focus on consumers' right to choice and access to THR products. Coming from an LMIC, she is particularly interested in understanding the microeconomics, psychology, and cultural influences in smoking cessation through vaping. Clarisse holds a Juris Doctor degree, and outside of her advocacy work, she enjoys scuba diving.
